About Paula

I am a yoga teacher, massage therapist, breathwork instructor and sound therapist, practising with the mission to assist you to feel lighter, stronger, more present and calm.

My first yoga class as a student was in my early 20s and I have pursued a love of learning and exploring everything about the human experience BODY MIND AND SPIRIT, since. 

 

I began practising Iyengar and Hatha Yoga and Meridian yoga and from this foundation, received two certifications in Ryoho Yoga Therapy in addition to certifications in remedial massage therapy, shiatsu massage, breathwork, meditation and resonant sound therapy. 

I am a student of and (will be) for LIFE and continue to pursue my love of learning so we can all experience a fun, sublime, uplifting hour together.

Classes LIVE and ONLINE. 

My practise is traditional Hatha Yoga Asana, based on a foundation of Five Element Theory (found in East Asian Philosophy) ; this meridian-style yoga is practised to enhance all the systems of the body as well as balance body, mind and spirit.  Eastern Philosophy observes and honours the patterns or seasons of nature and so with each change of season so does the asana practise. This style of Meridian Yoga Therapy realigns function and structural imbalances to restore balance. Practised regularly, yoga renews a heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the preciousness of life. This style of yoga was developed by Andzej Gospodarcyk and Lisa Foster of Ryoho Yoga Therapy and I was fortunate and grateful to spend from 2011 to 2022 immersed in their teachings and wisdom.

 

Over the last 20 years I have studied and practised Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga as well as attained certifications in Ryoho Meridian Yoga as taught by Andzej Gospodarcyk and Lisa Foster in addition to countless workshops “polishing the many facets of the yoga jewel”. I am committed to being a student for life.

 

Each class is 60 minutes and is designed to be FUN, accessible and challenging for all ages and abilities.

SHIATSU MASSAGE

Remedial Shiatsu

Shiatsu Massage is based on eastern philosophy’s understanding of energy “meridian” channels within the body.  Shiatsu Massage utilizes gentle pressure applied through palms, fingers and forearms to these energy channels of the body restoring balance and creating a natural vibrancy to your wellbeing. 

Shiatsu massage activates the body’s natural ability to balance and heal from within. Shiatsu Massage is suitable for many conditions; it is used to support all the 'systems' of the body: digestive; immune and nervous system. Shiatsu will balance sleep disturbances, musculoskeletal issues, sciatica, and general aches and pain.  

 

Shiatsu massage can also be used to treat: Stress, anxiety, pain, tension, fatigue, insomnia, digestive issues, nervous disorders and functional imbalances as well as support the immune system.

Treatment:  90 minutes $120.

BREATHWORK

Breathwork is a centuries old, powerful healing modality employing ancient pranayama practises to release tension and harmonise all the systems of the body. We use specific breathwork, sounds and meditation to enhance the overall wellbeing of the practitioner delivering a feeling of deep calm. My personal experience of the benefits of this healing modality have been profound.

 

Private session:  90 mins.

We are vibrational sensorial beings existing in a vibrational universe. Think of your body as a musical instrument which can be tuned to achieve optimal physical balance. Resonant vibrational sound therapy can alchemize your nervous system, muscle tone and organs into harmonious balance.  Experience states of deep relaxation and calm which will reduce stress instantaneously, increase blood flow, enhance the immune response, fully integrate body & mind, and transcend to higher levels of consciousness through the experience of handcrafted Nepalese Singing Bowls and Gongs.
